Foundation Plan:The foundation plan shows the layout of the basement, crawl space, slab or pier foundation. Support walls, excavated and unexcavated areas, if any, dimensions and all necessary notations are also included.

Floor Plans:Floor plans show the placement of walls, doors, plumbing fixtures, columns, and beams for each level of the home. The dimensions of rooms, doors, windows, stairways, etc., are also shown.

Cross Sections:Cross sections show details of the home as if it were sliced from the roof to the foundation. Cross sections specify the homes construction, insulation, flooring and roofing details. Changes in floor, ceiling or roof heights or the relationship of one level to another can also be shown. Cross sections show exactly how the variuos parts of the house fit.

Construction Notes:Construction notes provide general instructions and information regarding structure, excavating and grading, masonry and concrete work, carpentry, thermal and moisture protection, and specifications about drywall, tile, flooring, glazing, caulking and sealants. Note: regional variations, local availability of materials, local codes, methods of installation and individual preferences make it impossible to include much detail on heating, plumbing and electrical work on your plans. Your homes ductwork, venting and other details will vary depending on the type of energy that you use. These details and specifications are easily obtained from your builder, contractor and/or local suppliers.
